Scheufelen-Kalender awarded twice

Lenningen. On the occasion of the 61st oppening event of the international calender exposition on the 20th of January in the House of Economy in Stuttgart many well known and treasured awards were passed on. Germany and nine further countries, with Japan at the top, entered 1.056 calenders for evaluation. The top class jury of the GKS, Grafischer Klub Stuttgart, passed on a total of 60 awards. Gold, silver, bronze, additional certificates for outstanding, individual technical performances and the Award of Excellence in ten different categories.

Titled with "high class perfomance", the 2011 calender from paper mill Scheufelen in Lenningen, received a silver award. The certificate was passed on to Irmgard Glanz, Lead of Marketing at Scheufelen, Sabrina Regber, Marketing at Scheufelen, together with the designers from Strichpunkt advertising agency and representatives from Druck- und Medienhauses druckpartner, Essen. Additionally this wall calender from Scheufelen was awarded with the "Award of Excellence" for outstanding graphic design.

Scheufelen invites friends of calenders to a journey through the world of records and extremes. Together with their client, the art directors of Strichpunkt Ageny developed twelve exciting calender motives in distinguished design. Month after month. Highest performance from space travel, science, technology, music and more. Brilliantly transformed - in outstanding graphic design. The calender sheets were printed on coated Scheufelen paper PhoeniXmotion, Job Parilux, heaven 42 and BVS. The different selected paper quality and color shades finalize the master plan of high performances. At the end of the calender you can find the notes from production where the different techniques of upgrading and finishing with the use of scoring, die cutting, hotfoil, flourescent day and night active ink, iriodin laque and partial spot laque are explained.

The calender exposition counts to the worldwide largest presentation of this kind and thus builds an important platform for the complete print and media industry of Europe. All entered samples, including the awardwinning calenders, can be viewed at the House of Economy until the middle of February 2011.
